Dilijan Town

Dilijan is one of the most popular resort towns in Armenia. It is located in the area of Dilijan National Park. Back in the IV century, this town surrounded by picturesque hills and forests, was the favorite leisure and hunting venue for Armenian kings. The town is known by Frunzik Mkrtchyan’s famous “Mimino” movie quote: “When you open a tap in the kitchen in Dilijan the water in it is the second best in the world”. Besides beautiful nature, the town has also noteworthy and well-preserved XIV century architecture. Haghartsin Monastery Complex (11-13th centuries) is not far from Dilijan. Over the past few years, Dilijan has significantly advanced as the financial and educational center of Armenia. Dilijan Training and Research Centre of the Central Bank of Republic of Armenia, Tumo Center for Creative Technologies, UWC Dilijan International College are located here.

Lake Sevan

Lake Sevan is one of the largest freshwater mountain lakes in the world and it is the main source of water in Armenia. The lake has an average depth of 27 meters, while maximum depth reaches 80 meters. During hot summer months (July-August), the beaches, hotels, cafes and restaurants are always crowded there. As one of the most popular resorts in Armenia, it has plenty of options to organize your leisure time. Here you can engage in windsurfing and diving activities or take a scooter or sailboat ride in the breeze of the mountain air. If you appreciate history, architecture and light hikes, we suggest to visit Sevanavank Monastery built in 9th century, with a breathtaking view of the lake and the surrounding mountains.
